Third-Party Certifications

USDA Organic products have strict production and labeling requirements. In order to use the USDA Organic seal, products must meet the following requirements:

• Produced without excluded methods, (e.g., genetic engineering, ionizing radiation, or sewage sludge).
• Produced using allowed substances. National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances
• Overseen by a USDA National Organic Program-authorized certifying agent, following all USDA organic regulations.

The products displaying the Non-GMO Project Verified seal have been evaluated by a third-party technical administrator and meet the Non-GMO Project’s Standard according to best practices for GMO avoidance.

Foods can be assigned to one of five Kosher designations based on the designation of the equipment on which is prepared.

• Pareve = The product is pareve (neutral)
• Dairy = The product contains dairy or was made on equipment used for making products containing dairy
• Fish = The product contains fish or was made on equipment used for making products containing fish
• Meat = The product contains meat or was made on equipment used for making products containing meat

All products that are Kosher will have a symbol on packaging noting the type of Kosher and the certifying organization. Please note that Kosher Passover is not included in the filters because this is often a temporary certification made only during the Passover season.
